Pensioner Lily James couldn't believe her luck when she discovered she had won a brand new holiday home on Steeple Bay Holiday Park, Southminster as part of a prize worth over £15,000.
Lily entered the annual competition with Park Holidays UK having never won anything in her life and couldn't quite believe she had landed the big one! "When they told me I had won the holiday home, I thought it was a hoax; my son owns a caravan in Kent and I never dreamed I would have one too".
The news got even better for Lily when she discovered she could choose the Park on which the caravan was sited. "I fell in love with Steeple Bay as soon as I arrived; it's the perfect location for me".
Pictured toasting her success inside Lily's new holiday home is Park Holidays UK Sales Director, Ian Smith. - Park Holidays UK record investment in improved facilities
Park Holidays UK have completed another programme of improvements in fantastic park facilities for the 2008 season.
Major club refurbishments have taken place recently at Harts in Kent, Oaklands in Essex and at Solent Breezes in Hampshire. This follows the new bar and restaurant facilities that were well received at St Osyth Beach, Seawick, Marlie Farm and Coghurst Hall.
Plans are at an advanced stage for our next projects including Frenchmans Beach and
Seaview - so watch this space!
- 'Picture this' Competition Winner!
We would like to congratulate Mr Setters & family from Hertfordshire for winning our ‘Picture this’ photo competition.
This entry was classed overall winner out of many for its portrayal of family fun holidays for all ages!
The fantastic prize was a Sony digital camera package worth over £300 rrp. I'm sure you'll agree that Mr Setters captured the holiday theme very well and we wish him many more happy holidays with Park Holidays UK!
